Thirty-six countries, mainly from Europe, have signed up to a special tribunal to prosecute Russian President Vladimir Putin for the crime of aggression against Ukraine, which will be headquartered in the Dutch city of The Hague.

Friday's resolution was signed by Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Republic of Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.

Australia and Costa Rica were the only non-European signatories.

The ICC’s uneven allocation of justice raises many questions. Whilst a war crime anywhere ought to be treated with utter seriousness, I cannot blame African countries for increasingly seeing the ICC as an organisation whose reach doesn’t go beyond Africa. Unipolarity in the world cannot coexist with international justice. The sooner people realise this, the better.

So if you are a Christian, black African, a Russian or a Serb, then do not commit war crimes. But if you are anything else, the ICC and sister tribunals have more or less given you a get out of genocide free card.

We are living in an evil, hypocritical, wicked, carnal and primitive world.

No one wants/dares to report the most evil and genocidal individual on the planet, Abiy Ahmed and his many babysitters, like Girogia Meloni, in connection with the ongoing Christian Genocide in Ethiopia, because they all hate Christians, and want to see their extermination.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has not opened an investigation or issued an arrest warrant for the genocidal Prime Minister of the fascist Oromo Islamic regime of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed. Cultural and Racial Variables: Some observers argue that Eurocentric views, geographical proximity, and cultural factors play a role in the speed and nature of the EU's response.

The European Union, however, maintains that its security and support strategies are tailored to the specific threats posed in each region and that its humanitarian support is extensive globally.

EU's Indifference and Shifting Relations with Ethiopia (2026 Update)

As of April 2026, the EU is moving to normalize relations with Ethiopia despite continuing concerns over human rights violations. The EU announced the resumption of direct budget support to the genocidal fascist Oromo Regime of Ethiopia, a significant shift from the suspension in 2020 during the height of the Tigray conflict. Now, the EU even went further to reward the black Hitlers and Mussolinis of Ethiopia and Eritrea,, with billions of Euros. The two evils have already massacred up to two million ancient Orthodox Christians since November 2020. Yes, appreciation reward, instead of sanction!

In preparation for the genocidal Jihad against Orthodox Christians, that started on November 4, 2020, Europeans gave the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize, and in 2021, at the height of the Tigray siege and genocide, The German Africa Prize, to the evil Oromo PM of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed. Just unbelievably cruel – the world upside down, isn't it?!

European Union Partnership Commissioner Jozef Sikela announced on April 21 the resumption of EU’s direct budget support to the Ethiopian government: the final step towards normalizing relations with the country.

The move comes as Ethiopia’s dire human rights situation has deteriorated ahead of June 1 national elections.

The EU initially suspended its direct budget support to Ethiopia in 2020 amid the war in northern Ethiopia, which was marked by ethnic cleansing, forced displacement, large-scale massacres, and widespread sexual violence.

The November 2022 truce never completely ended grave abuses in the Tigray region: violations continued during the conflicts in Amhara and parts of Oromia. EU member states made clear that complete cessation of hostilities and accountability for past violations were key conditions for the resumption of full economic support to Ethiopia.

Now, rising tensions between Tigray’s main political party, the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF), and the federal government raise serious concerns of renewed atrocities.

In addition, the government has made no meaningful progress towards accountability for conflict-related abuses. After the EU refrained from renewing an international investigation into abuses in Ethiopia, the government’s transitional justice process effectively stalled.

At the same time, the authorities have imposed heightened restrictions on independent media, harassed and detained journalists, threatened civil society groups, and severely curtailed peaceful assembly and free speech. A number of youths were reportedly arrested in the capital, Addis Ababa, in April simply for listening to a popular Ethiopian musician’s latest recordings, some critical of the government. The government has offered no clarity on investigations into the apparent abduction of the managing editor of the Addis Standard, a leading independent media outlet. Just weeks before the elections, these developments are especially troubling.

Ethiopia’s increasingly dire human rights context suggests that the European Commission likely overlooked whether its own human rights benchmarks were met before resuming direct budget support.

If the Commission’s goal is to advance economic and social benefits for Ethiopians, it should prioritize other recipients and other forms of aid and at least reaffirm the EU’s commitment to accountability and the protection of civilians. Absent such a message, Sikela’s announcement seems to reward a repressive pre-electoral phase, crushed civic space, and renewed risk of atrocities with fresh cash and public praise, betraying the European bloc’s previous calls for justice and respect for human rights.
