Similarly, a
dispatch dated February 10, 1939, in The Canadian Jewish Chronicle
called for a Jewish homeland in Ethiopia because “since the

Jewish Chronicle has been operational since 1914.
“The narrow
strip of land between the Jordan and the Mediterranean – which now
holds half a million Jews and a million Arabs – could not possibly
absorb the Jews who are today threatened with exile,” it said,
adding that the African territory should be “thrown open to
colonisation by the Jews”.
“Ethiopia,
with its fertile upland soil, with its virgin resources waiting
development, cries for colonists… It would offer the Jew a homeland
such as he has never conjured up in his wildest dreams,” it said.
Additionally, a
daily bulletin by the news platform Jewish Telegraphic Agency on July
22, 1943, announced the formation of the Council for an Autonomous
Jewish Province in Harrar.
The stated objective of the organisation was to help European Jews
settle in the Harrar area of Ethiopia and in adjoining British
Somaliland “under conditions of political autonomy”.

flag on campus. In the district, located outside of Burlington,

honor of our Somali youth and families in Winooski and Vermont.”
“On Monday, we will be gathering to celebrate together and to learn
more about our civil rights.”
The district responded to outrage sparked by the decision, sharing,
“First, we want to assure everyone that the United States flag
remains in its proper place at the highest point, in full compliance
with the U.S. Flag Code.”
“The district has three flag masts: the U.S. flag on the top mast,
the Vermont state flag on the second, and—this week—the Somali
flag on the third.”
“The Somali flag is being flown for one week as a gesture of
support for Somali students and families. Winooski is a proudly
diverse community, and we are committed to recognizing and uplifting
the cultures and identities represented in our schools.”
The move comes following continued explosive revelations regarding
the massive scandal unfolding in Minnesota involving the Somali
community.
What was originally reported as a $250 million “Feeding Our Future”
scandal and later acknowledged as a $1 billion fraud may now exceed
$8 BILLION, according to whistleblowers and new federal
investigations.
In an explosive announcement on X, U.S. Small Business Administrator
Kelly Loeffler revealed that numerous individuals and nonprofits
indicted in the Minnesota COVID-relief scandal also received SBA PPP
loans and other federal payouts, suggesting a coordinated,
multi-agency exploitation of pandemic programs.
“Numerous individuals and nonprofits indicted in the $1 billion
Minnesota COVID fraud scandal, including Feeding Our Future, received
SBA PPP loans in addition to other state and federal funding,”
Loeffler wrote on X.
“I have ordered an investigation into the network of Somali
organizations and executives implicated in these schemes. Despite
Governor Walz’s best efforts to obstruct, SBA continues to work to
expose abuse and hold perpetrators accountable, full stop.”

Trump suggested that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) should be removed from
the United States, referencing allegations that she “supposedly”
entered the country by marrying her brother.
“Somalia, where you have
a Congressman goes around telling everybody about our Constitution,

Trump said while speaking to reporters on Air Force One. “Well, if
that’s true, she shouldn’t be a Congressman, and we should throw

Trump’s comments come as
Omar and other Democrats have defended Minnesota’s Somali
community, despite reports that there is evidence of “widespread
fraud of taxpayers’ healthcare programs” taking place. Trump has
previously announced that he would be terminating Temporary Protected
Status (TPS) amnesty for Somalians, over reports that billions of
dollars are missing.

On September
18, Thompson announced criminal indictments for HSS fraud against
Moktar Hassan Aden, Mustafa Dayib Ali, Khalid Ahmed Dayib, Abdifitah
Mohamud Mohamed, Christopher Adesoji Falade, Emmanuel Oluwademilade
Falade, Asad Ahmed Adow, and Anwar Ahmed Adow—six of whom,

many firms enrolled in the program “operated out of dilapidated
storefronts or rundown office buildings.” The perpetrators often
targeted people recently released from rehab, signing them up for
Medicaid services they had no intention of providing.
In 2023,
