☪ Hard to tell what was
going on here. Isaac Lopez may be a convert to Islam and a jihadi. Or
he may be a leftist who admires jihadis and hates Christianity. Or he
may be genuinely mentally ill. One thing is certain: authorities
aren’t going to elucidate his motives.
“Man arrested
after bomb threat at Miami Greek Orthodox church,” Orthodox
Christianity::
A 27-year-old man was
arrested Monday following a bomb scare at St. Andrew Greek Orthodox
Church in Kendall on Sunday, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s
Office.
The incident occurred
during Sunday Liturgy. Isaac Lopez, a Cuban national, was reportedly
acting suspiciously while carrying a backpack, prompting a church
member to alert an usher, reports the Miami Herald.
When confronted about his
backpack, Lopez allegedly told the usher, “It’s a bomb,” before
handing over the bag. The usher secured the backpack in a nearby
room.
Minutes later, a loud,
high-pitched alarm resembling a ticking countdown sounded throughout
the church, disrupting the service. Deputies said Lopez ran to the
room where the backpack had been placed, put his phone—which was
making the ticking noise—inside the bag, and returned to the
service.
As the service ended,
Lopez reportedly yelled the Islamic terrorist phrase, “Allahu
Akbar”—Arabic for “God is great,” causing fear among
congregants, according to authorities.

The Dominion of
Pakistan (later the Islamic Republic of Pakistan) was founded in 1947
as a result of the independence of India from British rule, when
India was simultaneously partitioned to create Pakistan (in two
non-contiguous halves called East Pakistan & West Pakistan).

Enabled Bangladesh Genocide
In 1971, the
government of West Pakistan launched a devastating nine-month
campaign of mass murder, rape, and other atrocities against the
Bengali residents of East Pakistan. Today, the death toll remains
highly politicized. Estimates range from 200,000 to 3 million. Around
10 million Bengali refugees fled to India and another 30 million were
internally displaced. Atrocities were directed by the government in
West Pakistan, led by right-wing military dictator General Yahya
Khan. The army carried out much of the violence, with assistance from
political parties and collaborators in East Pakistan.
Jonathan
Steele’s obituary of Henry Kissinger (29 November) omits reference
to his part in what the author Gary J Bass calls “one of the worst
moments of moral blindness in US foreign policy”, when in 1971 he
advised President Richard Nixon to side with Pakistan’s military
dictator, Gen Yahya Khan, in his war with Bangladesh, then East
Pakistan.
In his
Pulitzer prize-finalist book on this “forgotten genocide”, The
Blood Telegram, Bass describes how Kissinger and Nixon repeatedly
ignored the pleas from the US consul general in Dhaka, Archer Blood,
who was desperately cabling his superiors with reports of the
massacre of thousands of civilians in the city. Pakistan was using
US-made tanks, weapons and ammunition to crush the Bengalis.
Senator Edward Kennedy declared this “one of the greatest nightmares of
modern times”, but Kissinger used every power he (and Nixon) possessed
to cover up their role. To this day, most Americans are oblivious to the
appalling stain on their country’s history, in which as many as 3
million lives were lost.

Esau + Ishmael mission in Afghanistan from 2001 to 2021
The
NATO Special Operations Component Command—Afghanistan (NSOCC-A) was
a command structure for NATO and U.S. special operations forces in
Afghanistan, often referred to by the U.S. designation, Special
Operations Joint Task Force—Afghanistan (SOJTF-A). Its mission
included counter-terrorism, counter-insurgency, direct action, and
capacity-building through direct support to Afghan security forces.
The command was a division-level headquarters with personnel from
over 25 nations and was led by a two-star general who held dual
command for both the U.S. and NATO components.
