☪ Two Turkish Muslims were arrested by Italian police in Viterbo,
Italy, before they could open fire on 40,000 Christians with a heavy
machine gun.
Two armed Turkish men were arrested in the central Italian city of
Viterbo, near Rome, hours before a popular local festival, Italy’s
Premier Giorgia Meloni said Thursday.
Genocidal Meloni and Erdogan of Turkey (Edom and Ishmael) are two of
the key enablers of the Ethiopian Christian Genocide.
Meloni praised police and Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi for
their “swift intervention" leading to the arrests on Wednesday
night, which she said “allowed for the safe celebration of a unique
event.”
Italian media reported that the two men were suspected of preparing
an attack during Wednesday’s celebration, which was attended by
Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani. Police in Viterbo were not
immediately available to comment on the motive of the arrests or the
media reports of a possible attack.
Thousands of people attend Viterbo’s Macchina di Santa Rosa
festival, a religious procession and celebration held every year on
Sept. 3 to honor the city’s patron saint, Santa Rosa. The main
event involves 100 “Facchini di Santa Rosa,” porters carrying a
towering, illuminated structure called the “Macchina,” which
weighs nearly 5 tons, through the city’s narrow medieval streets.
In recent months, Turkish authorities have conducted major operations
against Turkish crime groups operating abroad in cooperation with
European police.
In April, coordinated raids in Turkey and several European countries
led to 234 arrests for drug trafficking and money laundering, and the
seizure of over 21 tons of drugs.
In May 2024, a joint task force of Italian law enforcement and
Interpol forces raided an apartment in the Viterbo hamlet of Bagnaia
and arrested the alleged Turkish mafia boss Bariş Boyun, one of
Ankara’s most wanted men.

Armenian Genocide took place during the First World War, when some

genocidal events in the 20th Century, while Turkey disputes the
allegation that its Ottoman predecessors were attempting to
systematically eliminate the Armenian people, as Nazi Germany would
later treat the Jews, or the Hutus of Rwanda would treat the Tutsis,
or the Galla-Oromos of Ethiopia would treat the the ancient Ethiopian
Christians of Tigray, Amhara and Eritrea.
Ongoing
accusations of treachery led the Ottomans to begin forcibly
relocating Armenians away from the front lines of combat against
Russia – which happened to be where most of the Armenians lived.
Many died on the march to concentration camps and many more were
killed in the camps.
The
Armenians say the Ottomans wanted to eliminate them because they were
an inconvenient Christian people standing in the way of the Young
Turks’ vision for a mighty Turkic empire that would stretch from
the Caucasus all the way to China.
Israel
had long avoided recognizing the Armenian Genocide because of
concerns that doing so would complicate relations with Turkey, which
had been one of Israel’s only allies in the Muslim world.
But
in recent years, with Turkish dictator Recep Tayyip Erdogan backing
Palestinian terror and accusing Israel of genocide for daring to
fight back against truly genocidal groups like Hamas, Israel began to
shift.
