♱ እስጢፋኖስ – በግሪክ ቋንቋ አክሊል ማለት ነው፡፡ በግብሩ የቀን ሃሩር የሌሊት ቁር የማይለውጠው፣ መብራት ማለት ነው።
♱ ቅዱስ እስጢፋኖስ በቤተክርስቲያን ታሪክ ስለክርስቶስ መስክሮ ሰማዕትነትን የተቀበለ የመጀመሪያው ዲያቆን ነው
♱ ቀዳሚ ሰማእት ቅ/ እስጢፋኖስ በጥቅምት ፲፯ ዕለት ሊቀ-ዲያቆናት ተደርጎ በሐዋርያት ተሾመ፡፡
😇 ሊቀ ዲያቆናት ቅዱስ እስጢፋኖስ የተቀዳጃቸው ሦስቱ አክሊላት፡-

♱ ቅዱስ እስጢፋኖስ የተወገረበት ድንጋይ ሰባት አብያተ ክርስቲያናት ታንፆበታል፡፡ /ሰባት ቤተክርስቲያናትን አንጿል፡፡/
♱ የቤተክርስቲያን አባቶች የቀዳሜ ሰማዕት የቅዱስ እስጢፋኖስ ሞት ለክርስትና እምነት መስፋፋት ዋነኛ ምክንያት መሆኑ የእግዚአብሔርን ድንቅ ሥራውን እንድናይበት አድርጎናል ሲሉ ይገልፁታል እውነት ነውና፡፡
♱ የቀዳሚ ሰማእት የቅዱስ እስጢፋኖስ ሞት ለክርስትና እምነት መስፋፋት ዋነኛ ምክንያት ነበር፤ የዘመኑ የወገኖቻችን ሰቆቃ እና ሞትም ለተዋሕዶ ክርስትና መስፋፋት ከፍተኛ አስተዋጽኦ ያበረክታል።

😇 Archdeacon and First Martyr Saint Stephen
In the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, Saint Stephen is commemorated monthly on the 17th day of every month, and the annual feast of Saint Stephen the Archdeacon is celebrated on Teqemet 17 (which is October 27th in the Gregorian calendar). He is honored as the first martyr (Protomartyr) and as the first of the seven deacons chosen after Pentecost
Dedication to the ordination of the First Martyr and Archdeacon Stephen, who was stoned to death about three years after the Ascension of the Lord.
Saint Stephen was a Hellenistic Jew and belonged to the group of the seven deacons selected by the Apostles to carry out the charity work of the first Christian community of Jerusalem.
According to the Acts of the Apostles, he was a man filled with the grace of the Holy Spirit. He preached with boldness and performed many great wonders. His action caused the animosity of the Judean priesthood, for they failed to understand and accept the ecumenical dimension and the liberating content of Christ’s preaching to every human being, and especially to those who had been wronged.
The First Martyr Stephen was considered a blasphemer and a denier of Judaism, for he declared, even before the Sanhedrin (great assembly), that Moses and the Mosaic Law, as well as all the Prophets and the Righteous of the Old Testament, were not carriers of salvation, but prepared the way for the coming of the true Savior, who is Christ.
Imitating His love, and dedicating himself to Him, he forgave his murderers, begging the Triune God not to impute to them the sin they had committed.

💭 በወቅቱ የቀረበ ጽሑፍ ፥ ትናንትና ዛሬ፤ በትናንትናው የመስቀል አደባባይ የኢሬቻ ጣዖት አምላካዊች የጽዮንን ሰንደቅ ከለከሏቸው፤ ዋይ! ዋይ! ዋይ!
♱ የቅዱስ እስጢፋኖስ ቤተክርስቲያንን ግቢ እንዲህ ግጥም፡ ሙልት ብሎ አይቼው አላውቅም፤ በአረንጓዴ፣ ቢጫና ቀይ ቀለማታችን ያሸበረቁ በጣም ብዙ ምዕመናን ተገኝተው ነበር።
ለመንፈሳዊ ሕይወት በጣም ታታሪ የሆነው ክርስቲያን ወገናችን ሊመሰገን፣ ሊወደስና ሊደነቅ ይገባዋል፤ ብዙ ጊዜ ሲኮነን እንጂ ሲደነቅ አንሰማም። ከሌሊቱ ዘጠኝ ሰዓት አንስቶ እስከ ቀኑ ስድስት ሰዓት ድረስ ቀዳሚ ሰማዕት ቅ/እስጢፋኖስን ለማስታወስ በቤተክርስቲያኑ ተገኝቷል።
እስኪ የት ሌላ ዓለም ነው ተመሳሳይ ሁኔታ የሚታየው? በየትኛውስ ሌላ ሐይማኖት? ካቶሊኩና ፕሮቴስታንቱ ከአንድ ሰዓት በኋላ፣ እስላሙ ከሠላሳ ደቂቃ በኋላ ነው ለአምላኮቻቸው ጸልይው የሚበታተኑት።
ደብረ ሰላም ቅዱስ እስጢፋኖስ ቤተ ክርስቲያን፣ ለመጀመሪያ ጊዜ በንግሥት ዘውዲቱ ዘመነ መንግሥት በ፲፱፻፱ ዓ/ም ተመሠረተ። በዚያን ጊዜም ዘመኑ በፈቀድው መልክ የቤተ ክርስቲያኑ ሕንጻ ተጠናቆ ሲወደስበት ሳለ፤ በጣልያን የወረራ ዘመን፣ በ፲፱፻፴፪ ዓ/ም ባልታወቀ ምክንያት የእሳት አደጋ ደርሶበት ሕንጻው ተቃጠለ።
ኢትዮጵያ ከ ፋሺስት የወረራ ቀንበር ከተላቀቀች በኋላ፤ የግንባታው ሥራ በሥራ ሚኒስቴር ኃላፊነት በዘመናዊ መልክ እንዲሠራ በተሰጠው ትዕዛዝ መሠረት ሚኒስትሩ ባላምባራስ (በኋላ ብላቴን ጌታ) ማኅተመ ወልደ መስቀል በአንድ በኩል የአካባቢውም ኗሪ እና የቤተ ክርስቲያኑ ምእመን በመሆናቸው እና በሚኒስቴራዊ ኃላፊነታችው፤ ሥራውን በቅርብ እየተከታተሉና እየተቆጣጠሩ አሠርተውት የአሁኑ ሕንጻ ግንባታ ፍጻሜ አግኝቶ ጥቅምት ፲፯ ቀን ፲፱፻፶፫ ዓ/ም ቅዳሴ ቤቱ የግብጽ ኮፕት ቤተ ክርስቲያን ፓትረያርክ፣ ብፁዕ ወቅዱስ አቡነ ቄርሎስ ፮ኛ በተገኙበት ተባረከ፡፡
