😳 Did you know the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was created more recently than Israel?

Non-Arab Sudanese – who are now massacred and displaced by a UAE-backed militia — are older than the country orchestrating the seizure of their homes.

What’s happening in Sudan is a genocide and an occupation carried out by the RSF, a militia armed and funded by the United Arab Emirates. To understand how this came to be, we have to go back to how the UAE itself was built: as a U.S. client state in the 1970s, designed to protect Western oil and power in the Middle East.

Today, that same sub-empire fuels the destruction of Sudan — extracting gold, land, and resources while our communities are massacred and displaced.

Anwar Gargash, an adviser to the president of the United Arab Emirates, called the city's capture a "turning point" that showed "the political path is the only option to end the civil war".

The UAE has been accused by the UN of supplying the RSF with weapons. It is also a member of the so-called Quad -- alongside the United States, Saudi Arabia and Egypt -- which is working for a negotiated peace.

The group has proposed a ceasefire and a transitional civilian government that excludes both the army and the RSF from power.

Talks last week in Washington involving the Quad made no progress.

The army has its own foreign backers in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Turkey, observers have reported. They too have denied the claims.

Fear of mass killings as thousands trapped in besieged Sudan city taken by militia group.

US-based researchers have been analysing images from the besieged city of el-Fasher.

They've described "piles of bodies executed en masse, or shot by snipers attempting to breach" the city's perimeter wall.

"We see clear evidence of house-to-house clearance operations, particularly in the Darajula neighbourhood near Saudi Hospital - with what appears to be piles of objects consistent with human remains between 1.5 to two metres in length," Nathaniel Raymond, executive director of Yale's Humanitarian Research Lab.

El-Fasher is the capital of northern Darfur, a region as large as France. It’s located over 800km (497 miles) west of Khartoum and about 195 km from Nyala, capital of South Darfur State.

The city became an important commercial hub, located at the centre of Darfur states, North Kordofan, Khartoum and the Northern state.

The city serves as the main entry point for aid convoys from Port Sudan before distribution across Darfur.

El-Fasher is home to diverse tribal and ethnic groups, mainly Zaghawa, Fur, and Masalit, many of whom live in displacement camps. Arab-origin tribes are fewer and mostly in South Darfur, controlled by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

It has been under siege by the RSF for over a year since fighting erupted between these forces and the army, with violent battles claiming hundreds of lives.

El-Fasher hosts many displacement camps. Some were established over two decades ago after Darfur’s civil war during former President Omar al-Bashir’s era, while new camps were set up after the current war, housing displaced people from other Darfur states taken over by the RSF.

In 2008, the UN-AU mission in Darfur (UNAMID) chose el-Fasher as its main base, boosting its status and urban development.

✞ Romanians flock to a new cathedral that is the world´s largest Orthodox church after 15 Years of Construction.

Thousands of pilgrims turned out Sunday in Romania´s capital for the consecration of religious paintings inside the world´s largest Christian Orthodox church that was being opened after 15 years of construction.

Worshippers and officials arrived in droves at the People´s Salvation Cathedral, known as the National Cathedral, which at its highest point stands more than 125 meters (410 feet) and has an inner capacity for 5,000 worshippers in the deeply Orthodox country. The cathedral's opulent interior is covered with frescoes and mosaics depicting saints and icons.

Proposals for a national cathedral in the country of about 19 million people had been put forward for more than a century, but its fruition was hampered by two world wars and the decades of communist rule, which sought to suppress religion. The Romanian Orthodox Church has called the cathedral "a symbol of national identity."

Romania is one of the most pious countries in the European Union, with around 85% of the population identifying as religious.

Situated behind the hulking Palace of the People built by the late communist leader Nicolae Ceausescu, construction for the cathedral finally began in 2010, and its altar was consecrated in 2018. It has so far cost a reported 270 million euros ($313 million), with a majority drawn from public funds, and some works are yet to be completed.

Traffic was restricted for Sunday´s service, which was attended by President Nicusor Dan and Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan. Many worshippers watched via TV screens set up outside the cathedral.

The cathedral´s mosaics and iconography cover an area of 17,800 square meters (191,000 square feet), according the cathedral´s website.

Daniel Codrescu, who has spent seven years working on the frescoes and mosaics, told The Associated Press that much of the iconography has been inspired by medieval Romanian paintings and others from the Byzantine world.

"It was a complex collaboration with the church, with art historians, with artists, also our friends of contemporary art," he said. "I hope (the church) is going to have a very important impact on society because ... it´s a public space."

With one of the largest budget deficits in the EU, not everyone in Romania was happy about the cost of the project. Critics bemoan that the massive church has drawn on public funds, which could have been spent on schools or hospitals.

Claudiu Tufis, an associate professor of political science at the University of Bucharest, said the project was a "waste of public money" but said it could offer a "boost to national pride and identity" for some Romanians.

"The fact that they have forced, year after year, politicians to pay for it, in some cases taking money from communities that really needed that money, indicates it was a show of force, not one of humility and love of God," he said. "Economically, it might be OK in the long term as it will be a tourist attraction."

Rares Ghiorghies, 37, supports the church but said the money would be better spent on health and education as "a matter of good governance."

"The big problem in society is that most of those who criticize do not follow the activities of the church," he said.

እስካሁን ለፕሮጀክቱ ፪፻/200 ሚሊዮን ዩሮ (፪፻፲፮/216 ሚሊዮን ዶላር) ወጪ ተደርጓል፣ አብዛኛው ገንዘብ የሚገኘው ከህዝብ መዋጮ እና ሩቡም ከልገሳ ነው።

❖ ክርስቲያን ሕዝብ ጤናማ ሕዝብ ነው።

❖ እንደ ሮማንያዊ ይህ ቤተክርስቲያን እስኪጠናቀቅ መጠበቅ አልችልም! እዛ ሄጄ ለመጸለይ እና በክርስቶስ ፊት ለመሆን እቅድ አለኝ! ክርስቶስ በሁሉም ኦርቶዶክስ ቤተክርስቲያን ውስጥ አለ።

❖ እንደ ማሌዥያዊ ኦርቶዶክስ ክብር ለእግዚአብሔር ይሁን። በዚህ ልፍስፍስ ምዕራባዊ ዓለም መካከል ሮማውያን በእምነታቸው ያድጉ ዘንድ መልካም ነው።

❖ ምንም እንኳን ኦርቶዶክስ ባልሆንም ለእነሱ ትልቅ ክብር አለኝ ይህ ካቴድራል እጅግ አስደናቂ ነው የአውሮፓ ህብረትን ለሚመሩት ዓለማውያን ትልቅ የፊት ጥፊ መመታት ነው።

❖ ቆንጆ! እግዚአብሔር ሮማኒያን ይጠብቅ

❖ ይህ በጣም ጥሩ ነው። ሮማኒያ ባህሏንና ሥሮቿን/መሠረቶቿን ከፍ አድርጋ ትመለከታለች። በምዕራቡ ዓለም ከእነርሱ አንድ ነገር መማር እንችላለን።

❖ ውብ ይሆናል። ከአንድ ካቶሊክ እግዚአብሔር አምላክ ሮማኒያን እና የኦርቶዶክስ እምነትን ይባርክ።

❖ ከብሪታኒያ ሃይማኖት የቀየርኩ/የተለወጠ ሰው ነኝ ባለፈው እሁድ ተጠመቅኩ... ምርጥ ምርጫ!

❖ አሜሪካ ውስጥ ያለሁ የኦርቶዶክስ እምነት ተከታይ እንደመሆኔ፣ ይህንን በቅርብ ጊዜ እጎበኘዋለሁ።

ይህ በእንዲህ እንዳለ ፴/30 ሚሊዮን የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ እምነት ተከታዮች በረሃብ እየተጋፈጡ ባለበት ወቅት፣ የፋሺስት ጋላ-ኦሮሞው አገዛዝ የዘር ማጥፋት እልቂት መሪ ለራሱና ለኤዶማውያን እና እስማኤላውያን ሞግዚቶች ፲፭/15 ቢሊዮን ዶላር ቤተ መንግሥት እየገነባ ነው። በሰሜናዊው ንፍቀ ክበብ ከሚመጣው የኒውክሌር አፖካሊፕስ መትረፍ ይችሉ ዘንድ ሉሲፈርያውያን ከኢትዮጵያ ቅዱሳን ተራሮች በታች መትረፊያ የዋሻ ቤቶችን እንዲሠራ ትእዛዝ ሰጥተውታል።

😇 Archdeacon and First Martyr Saint Stephen

In the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, Saint Stephen is commemorated monthly on the 17th day of every month, and the annual feast of Saint Stephen the Archdeacon is celebrated on Teqemet 17 (which is October 27th in the Gregorian calendar). He is honored as the first martyr (Protomartyr) and as the first of the seven deacons chosen after Pentecost

Dedication to the ordination of the First Martyr and Archdeacon Stephen, who was stoned to death about three years after the Ascension of the Lord.

Saint Stephen was a Hellenistic Jew and belonged to the group of the seven deacons selected by the Apostles to carry out the charity work of the first Christian community of Jerusalem.

According to the Acts of the Apostles, he was a man filled with the grace of the Holy Spirit. He preached with boldness and performed many great wonders. His action caused the animosity of the Judean priesthood, for they failed to understand and accept the ecumenical dimension and the liberating content of Christ’s preaching to every human being, and especially to those who had been wronged.

The First Martyr Stephen was considered a blasphemer and a denier of Judaism, for he declared, even before the Sanhedrin (great assembly), that Moses and the Mosaic Law, as well as all the Prophets and the Righteous of the Old Testament, were not carriers of salvation, but prepared the way for the coming of the true Savior, who is Christ.

Imitating His love, and dedicating himself to Him, he forgave his murderers, begging the Triune God not to impute to them the sin they had committed.

እስኪ የት ሌላ ዓለም ነው ተመሳሳይ ሁኔታ የሚታየው? በየትኛውስ ሌላ ሐይማኖት? ካቶሊኩና ፕሮቴስታንቱ ከአንድ ሰዓት በኋላ፣ እስላሙ ከሠላሳ ደቂቃ በኋላ ነው ለአምላኮቻቸው ጸልይው የሚበታተኑት።

መድኃኒታችን እየሱስ ክርስቶስ ዓለምን ሊያድን ከእግዚአብሔር አብ የመጣ ከእርሱም ሌላ አዳኝና መሐሪ ወደ እግዚአብሔር መንግሥትም የሚያገባ እንደሌለ የአየሁትን ልመሰክር የሰማሁትን ቃል ለእናንተ ለአሰማ ከቃሉ የተነሣ የእግዚአብሔር ሕዝቦች ትሆኑ ዘንድ በስሙም ትጠመቁ ዘንድ ልኮኛል። ከአብና ከልጁም ከእኛም ህብረት እንዳላችሁ ያንጊዜ ታውቃላችሁ፤ ዓለሙ ግን የፈጠረውን ተጣሪውን ትቶ ላልፈጠረው ምህረት የአደረገለትን ጌታውን ትቶ ሥቃይንና መአትን ለሚያመጣበት ለክፉ መንፈስ እየተገዛና የክፉ መንፈስ ባሪያ በመሆን የኃጢአትን ንጉሥ ዲያብሎስን እያገለገለ ይገኛል።

ይህ ክፉ መንፈስ በሰዎች ልብ ላይ መርዙን እንደረጨ ሁሉ እንዲሁ በእግዚአብሔር ልጆች ላይ ደጋኑን ወጥሮ ቀስቱን እንደቀተረ ነው። አንዳንዶች ወገኖች ለእርሱ ሲማረኩለት ጥቂቶችም የሆኑ የእግዚአብሔር ምርጥ ሕዝቦች ከፍጹም እምነታቸውና ከመንፈስ ቅዱስ ጸጋ የተነሣ በጸሎት ድል ያደርጉታል፡ በጾምም ያሸንፉታል ያሳፍሩታልም። ወደ ሰማየ ሰማያት ለወጣው ለእግዚአብሔር ልጅ ለእየሱስ ክርስቶስ ታማኝ ሠራዊቱ ናቸው። መንፈሱን ተላብሰዋል፣ ጸጋውን ተሞልተዋል፣ ኃይሉንም ታጥቀውታል። ሥልጣንም በአፋቸው ተሰጥቷል። እኒሁ እናንተም የእግዚአብሔር አብን ምህረት የልጁንም የእየሱስ ክርስቶስን አዳኝነት የመንፈስ ቅዱስን ጸጋ ልትቀበሉትና ልትለብሱት ለመጣችሁ ሁሉ እንደ እግዚአብሔር ፈቃድ ይሁንላችሁ። የልጁም የእየሱስ ክርስቶስ ፍቅር ይፅናላችሁ። አሜን።

እቴ ህንድኬ ዣን ንግሥተ ነገሥታት ዘኢትዮጵያ በሆነች በአሥራ አንደኛው ዘመነ መንግሥትዋ ከእየሱስ ክርስቶስ ደቀ መዛሙርት አንዱ ቅዱስ ማቴዎስ በመርዌ ከተማ የሚኖሩትን ህዝቦች ቃለ ወንጌል እየሰበከ አስተምሮ ማጥመቁን ሰማች፤ ይዘውት ወደ እርስዋ እንዲመጡ መልእክተኞችን ወደ ወንጌላዊ ማቴዎስ ላከች፡ ነገር ግን ስለክርስቶስ መወለድና ብዙ ታእምራትንና ድንቅ የሆኑ ሥራዎችን እየሱስ ክርስቶስ መሥራቱን ሰምታ ስለነበረ የእየሱስ ክርስቶስ ደቀ መዝሙር ነው ሲሏት መልኩን ለማየት የሚያስተምረውንም ለመስማት ጓጉታ እርሱ የእግዚአብሔር አገልጋይ ከመምጣቱ እኔ መሄድ አለብኝ ብላ በብዙ ሺህ ሠራዊት ታጅባ ወደ መርዌ /መርዋ/ በ70 ዓ.ም. ሄደች።

በዚያም ቅዱስ ማቴዎስን አግኝታ እንዲህ አለችው፦

“እየሱስ ክርስቶስ የእግዚአብሔር ልጅ ከእግዚአብሔር ዘንድ ወደ እኛ እንደተላከና የሰላም አለቃ የዘለዓለም አባት እንደሆነ ከነቢዩ ኢሳይያስ ትንቢት የተነሣ አምናለሁ፤ ነገር ግን በውኃ ጥምቀት ከእግዚአብሔር መወለድን የእግዚአብሔር ልጅ መባልን አላውቅም ነበር፡ አሁን ግን አንተን ወደ እኛ የላከህና ከአንተ ላይ የአለ የእግዚአብሔር መንፈስ ቅዱስ ከስብከትህ የተነሣ ገለፀልኝ፡ የምትነግረን ቃለ ወንጌል ህይወት መድኃኒት እንደሆነ አወኩ በእርሱም አመንኩ ስለዚህ አጥምቀኝ።” አለችወ።

ቅዱስ ማቴዎስም እግዚአብሔር ወደ እርሱ እንደላካት አውቆ በደስታ ከሠራዊትዋ ጋር ወደ ግዮን ወንዝ ወረዱ ከዚያም ከእርሱዋ ጋር የነበረው ሠራዊትና መኳንንት ሁሉ በእየሱስ ክርስቶስ ስም አጠመቃቸው። እንዲህ ሲል፦

“በአብ በወልድ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ ስም አጠቃችሁ አለሁ!” እያለ።

እቴ ህንደኬ ዣን እንደህዝብዋ ተጠመቀች፤ ፍጹም ክርስቲያን ሆነች፤ ከዚያም ቅዱስ ማቴዎስን ከደቀ መዛሙርቶቹ ጋር ወደ አክሱም አምጥታ አክሎስ የሚባለውን ባልዋን ልጆችዋን ቤተሰብዋን ሁሉ በእየሱስ ክርስቶስ ስም አስጠመቀች። ቅዱስ ማቴዎስ በአክሱም አድርጎ ወደ ኢየሩሳሌም ሄደ፤ ከበርቶሎሜዎስ ቀጥሎ ለመጀመሪያ ጊዜ የኑብያን፣ የኢትዮጵያንና የናግራንን ሰዎች የአጠመቀ ከአሥራ ሁለቱ ደቀ መዛሙርት አንዱ ወንጌላዊ ማቴዎስ ነው።

እንደዚህም ሆነ እቴ ህንደኬ ዣን ክርስቲያን በሆነች በአሥራ ሦስት አመትዋ አቡሳውያን /አበሾች/ የሚባሉት የአክሱም የአዶሊስ ሕዝቦችና ፈላስያን /ፈላሾች/ በሌዋውያን ምክር ወንድሙዋን ንጉሠ ባህር ዘዝቃሌስ ተብሎ የነበረውን ከተብን አፄ ባህር ሰገድ ንጉሠ ነገሥት ዘኢትዮጵያ ብለው በበላዩዋ ላይ አነገሡት፤ እቴ ህንደኬን ዣንና አክሎስ ልጆቸዋን ገድለው አቃጠሏት። እርሷም በሰማእትነት በሰማንያ ሦስት /83/ በነገሠች በ24 ዘመነ መንግሥቱዋ አረፈች።

አፄ ባህር ሰገድ ተብሎ በነገሠው በከተብ ዘመነ መንግሥት እየሱ የእግዚአብሔር ልጅ ነው ክርስቶስ ተወልዶአል ብሎ የሚያስተምርና የሚአምን ሰው ቢገኝ እንዲገደል በአዋጅ ተነገረ።

የእስራኤል ልጆች የሆኑ ሌዋውያን ካህናት እየሱ ክርስቶስም አይደለም ስሙንም መድኃኒት አይደለም ለማለት “ኢየሱስ” እንጂ “እየሱስ” ብላችሁ አትጥሩ ብለው በምኩራብ በአደባባይ በቢተ መቅደስ በገበያ አስተማሩ።

እግዚአብሔርም የእስራኤልን ልጆችን ጥጦስ የሚባለውን አስነስቶ በጭካኔ እንደገደላቸው ሁሉ እንዲሁ የባህር ሰገድን መርከብ ሠራተኞችና በአዶሊስ በዳህቂቅ የሚኖሩትን ቤተ እስራኤል ሂክሶስ የሚባሉት የግሪኮችን ሰዎች አስነስቶ አስገደላቸው።

ንጉሠ ነገሥቱ ባህር ሰገድ ክርስቶስ እየሱስ በተወለደ 105 መታራ ከሚባለው አገር ላይ ከግሪኮች ከሮማውያን ጋር ጦርነት አድርጎ ተማርኮ በ81 ዓመት እድሜው በነገሠ በ22 ዘመነ መንግሥቱ ሞተ።

አንዳንድ ጎሣዎችና በጎሣዎች ውስጥ የሚገኙ ነገዶች ቃለ ወንጌል ያልተሰበከላቸው በጨለማ ዓለም ውስጥ ከመኖራቸው የተነሣ ከንቱ የሆነ አምልኮት ያመልኩና ለሚያመልኩት ነገር እንስሳና አእዋፍ ዶሮ ያርዱለት ነበር። ከዚያም አልፈው ሰውን አስረው እንደ እንስሳ የሚያቀርቡና የሚሰው ነበሩ። የሚያመልኳቸው ተራራዎች ዛፎች ሸለቆዎች ኮረብታዎች አራዊቶች ነበሩ። እንደዚሁ አስቀያሚ መልክ ያላቸው ቅርጾችን ያመልኩባቸው ነበር።

ነገር ግን የሰው ልጅ ክቡር ፍጥረት እንደሆነ ከሁሉም በላይ መሆኑን የሚያምኑና ሁሉን የፈጠረና ቻይ ጌታ እግዚአብሔር ብቻ አንድ አምላክ እንደሆነ በነቢያት ላይ አድሮ ለሰው ልጆች ህግና ሥረአት እንዲኖራቸው የፈቀደ ወይም የአዘዘ ትእዛዙንም የሚፈጽሙ የመልከ ጼዴቅ ካህን ዘሮች የእግዚአብሔር ልጆች ተብለው የሚጠሩ ኢትዮጵያውያን ብቻ ነበሩ። በኋላ ዘመን ደግሞ የአብርሃም ዘሮች በሙሴ አማካኝነት አንድ እግዚአብሔርን ማምለክ ጀመሩ። ከዚህ በኋላ ነው ሁለቱ ጎሣዎች አንድ እግዚአብሔርን በማምለክና በማመን ሲኖሩ የአለም መድኃኒት እየሱስ ክርስቶስ በቤተ ልሔም በተወለደ ጊዜ ሊሰግዱለት ሄደው ከሌላው ዓለም በፊት የተገኙትና ገጸ-በርከት አቅርበው ወደ ሀገራቸው በሰላም የተመለሱ።

አሁንም እኛ ኢትዮጵያውያን የክርስቶስን ትእዛዝና ትምህርት የተቀበልን እንደ ኃዋርያት ማለት ብሉያት መጽሐፍትን አስቀድመን እንደተቀበልን፡ መጽሐፍተ አዲሳትንም ወዲያውኑ ነው የተቀበልንና አምነን በጌታችን በእየሱስ ክርስቶስ ስም የተጠመቅነው፤ በስሙ ክርስቲያኖች የተባልነው እንጂ ሐዲሳትን መጻሕፍትን ብቻ እንደተቀበሉት እንደ አሕዛቦች አይደለም። ለዚህ ሁሉ ምስክራችን ፈጣሪያችን እግዚአብሔርና እግዚአብሔር ያዘዘው የአምልኮታችን ሥርአት ነው። እሄውም የማይታየው አምላክ በነቢያት ሰው እንደሚሆን አስቀድሞ መነገሩ በሐዋርያት ሰው መሆኑ መሰበኩን የሚያበስሩትን ብሉያትና ሐዲሳትን /በማስማማታችን/ በማዋሐዳችን እምነታችን ተዋሕዶ ሃይምንት ተብሏል። ምስጢሩም ቃል ሥጋ በመሆኑ የነቢያት ትንቢት በመፈጸሙ ተዋሕዶ ሃይማኖት አሰኝቶታል።

እሄን ክብርና ጸጋ ለሰጠን ለአንድ እግዚአብሔር የአምልኮት ምስጋናና ሥግደት ይገባዋል። እግዚአብሔር ለዘለዓለም ለሰው ልጆች ሰላምንና ፍቅርን ሕብረትንም ይስጠን። ምህረቱና ቸርነቱም በሰማይ እንደሆነ በምድርም ይሁን። አሜን።

The new Christian Prince Matthew dedicated his life to converting his people to the True Faith. Soon St. Fulvian-Matthew abdicated his rule and was ordained a priest. Upon the death of Bishop Platon, the Apostle Matthew appeared to him and instructed him to be consecrated as Bishop and to be the head the Ethiopian Church. Having become a bishop, St. Fulvian-Matthew labored at preaching the Word of God to his African people for the rest of his life, continuing the work of his heavenly patron.

Saint Matthew the Evangelist, was martyred today, on Tikmet 12 / October 22. He was one of the Twelve Disciples and his name was Levi. He was the one sitting at the receipt of custom outside the city of Capernaum, when the Lord Christ said to him, “Follow Me.” He left all, rose up, and followed Him. He made for the Lord Christ a great feast in his own house. That made the Pharisees murmur against Him saying to His disciples, “Why do your teacher eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” Jesus answered and said to them, “Those who are well do not need a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” (Luke 5:27-32)

He preached in the land of Palestine and Tyre and Sidon. Then he went to Ethiopia. He entered the city of priests and converted them to the knowledge of God. When he wished to enter the city, he met a young man who told him, “You will not be able to go in unless you shave off the hair of your head and carry palm branches in your hand.” He did as the young man told him. And, as he was thinking about that, the Lord Christ appeared to him in the form of the young man who had met him earlier, and after He encouraged and comforted him, disappeared. He realized that this young man was the Lord of Glory Himself.

He then entered the city as one of its priests. He went to the temple of Apollo and found the high priest, and talked with him concerning the idols that they were worshipping. He explained to him how those idols did not hear or sense anything and how the true Mighty Lord is He who created the Heaven and Earth. The Lord made through him a wonder: a table came down to them from Heaven and a great light shone around them. When Hermes the priest saw this wonder, he asked him, “What is the name of your God?” The apostle replied, “My God is the Lord Christ.” Hermes, the priest, believed in Christ and many people followed him.

When the Governor of the city knew that, he ordered them burned. It happened at that time that the son of the Governor died. Saint Matthew the Apostle prayed and made supplications to God to raise the son and the Lord answered him and raised the child from death. When the Governor saw that, he and the rest of the people of the city believed. Saint Matthew baptized them and ordained a bishop and priests, and built a church for them.

After he had preached in other countries, he went back to Jerusalem. Some of the Jews which had been preached to, and had believed and been baptized by him, asked him to write down what he had preached to them. He wrote the beginning of the Gospel attributed to him in the Hebrew language but he did not complete it. It was said that he finished it during his preaching in India, in the first year of the reign of Claudius and the ninth year of the Ascension.

His martyrdom was consummated by stoning by the hands of Justus the Governor, and his body was buried in Carthage of Caesarea by some believers, in a holy place.
